Assuming everyone is able to make it home to Florida for thanksgiving, we thought it would be a good idea to do a family pictures since the Woods have not been all together for over five years and the one family picture I do have is really cute but old!!
I wanted to prepare everyone for this event, because it will be an event I will make sure of that! I thought it would be fun to coordinate at least a little since the very well could be the only family picture for another 5 years!!
Mom suggested a park near the house as a good setting, and she is going to talk to some friends that might be able to take the pictures for us.
My thoughts were to get input into the coordination part so that people can bring the proper attire, if necessary.
I scrounged up some examples from the internet to get your feed back on colors or if you think it would be best to not coordinate that much... of course we could just go with the Hawaiian shirt theme and make it a tradition...

Let me know what you guys think or if this is planning too far in advance I can put if off till the week of too! Thanks.
OH MY WORD! That picture of us is such a step back in time. What cute kids we have. I just want to know where the surf board pictures are.
I think we should all wear pink.
I think pink sucks.
I guess pink it is...since that has been the only positive input so everyone pack your pink shirts!
I don't have a pink shirt in my wardrobe, but if you buy me a pink shirt, I'll wear it in a heartbeat!
Alright, look. Pink has been officially vetoed. However, we can entertain some real suggestions, like jeans and white button up shirts, or camouflage pants and brown t-shirts, and paintball guns.
I'd buy Michael a pink shirt just so Phil would have to wear a pink shirt. haha
I like the idea of the guys in white shirts and the girls in pink. Although the cami and paintball guns is kind of fun, but I was the one who came up with the hawaiian shirts so we could have casual pictures and something different. You may not want to take that too seriously. Mom
I have camouflage plants and a brown shirt (an advantage to doing ROTC) but Scott would need to return a certain paint ball gun for me to be able to participate in that idea. If wearing pink means getting a free shirt, I still win! But if wearing a white shirt means that we won't be missing those members of the family who are insecure with their masculinity then I guess that's still a win/win situation. Any way so far seems good to me!
You all seem to forget that pink has been vetoed. And someone, please buy Michael a pink shirt so he feels comfortable with his masculinity. I still haven't heard any other unvetoed suggestion besides camo and paintball guns.
Camo and paintball guns have been vetoed.
Michael - I'll get you a pink shirt for Christmas since Phil isn't a real man (remember - real men wear pink).
At any rate - I'd like to put out another suggestion, this is from my mother. She said the families should match. So, for those who may not understand what that entails: Phil, Emily, and Madison would coordinate; Scott, Celeste and Sydney would coordinate; and then Mom, Chief, Aaron (if he shows up), Michael, Mandy, and Tavy would coordinate.
I actually think it's a cute idea so that people don't see Scott and I or Phil and Emily together and wonder, "Is that his wife or sister?" (which is something I myself have wondered looking at some family pictures).
And just like both of the previous suggestions, this one may be vetoed as well....
"Real men wear pink" is really just propaganda by those of the male gender who are not real men. "Real men" care about only two things when choosing what to wear: comfort, and pleasing their significant other. If that means wearing pink, then a real man will do so.
As far as the family coordinating, I like it. I think we should explore it further.
